UNDERSTANDING YOUR SITE

Built around your working day.

Warehouse Wi-Fi behaves differently from office Wi-Fi. Metal racking, changing stock levels, large floor areas and elevated mounting positions all affect signal paths. We consider where staff and devices actually move, and how the warehouse connects back to its office and communications cabinet.

01

Aisles & device movement

Plan around handheld scanners, mobile workstations and travel routes. A strong signal at one end of an empty aisle does not demonstrate performance throughout a stocked warehouse.

02

Access point placement

Consider mounting height, antenna behaviour, obstacles and cable routes. The highest available beam is not automatically the most useful mounting position.

03

Cabling & cabinets

Assess run lengths, communications-room placement, PoE requirements and access equipment. Long links or separate buildings may call for a different backbone design.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

A few useful answers.

Need to discuss something specific? Tell us about your site and what you need to improve.

Can Wi-Fi be tested with our scanners?

Device-specific testing can be included in the scope. Make representative devices available and identify the applications and movement patterns that matter to your operation.

What should we send with an enquiry?

Share a racking plan, ceiling heights, typical stock types and scanner models if available. Note forklift routes, induction requirements and safe access restrictions before installation is scoped.
